With about 500 photos, but relax, I'm not going to post them all. :) I'm thinking the way I'll do it (once I get everything organized and cleaned up) is post a little travelogue, sort of a day-by-day thing, a few pictures each day, because we saw SO much cool stuff and I really want to share. It's hard to believe we were only out eight days -- it seems like at least a couple of weeks. We covered about 1300 miles.
Anyway, as far as the contest is concerned, I had a PM from InTheFlow asking if I could hold off on taking submissions until she gets back to Denver around the 19th. If that's okay with everybody, that's what I'll do because I don't want to leave our dear friend out.
The people pictures I've seen posted so far are really great. I can't wait to see what actually gets submitted.
By the way, my pristine camera picked up some flecks along the way, mostly I think on the 15-mile hike on Friday above treeline with the 30 mile an hour winds and smoke in the air from large wildfires in the valley, but more about that later. I'm glad I've learned the cleaning routine.

Maybe I should open for submissions on the 18th because surely we won't have 30 entries in just one day. ITF, if you're reading this, would that work for you?

not taking my computer on this trip. But I'm still not sure I have a photo of sufficient quality to enter anyway. If I decide to enter, I will just ask you to pull a photo from the poll I just put up. Would that work.
In other words, don't change dates on my account. If I have something to enter, I will figure a way to get it entered. Thanks for the offer.

I want to give everybody a chance to enter. Why don't you let me know which one you like best before you go, and then I'll make a note here and add it to the submissions thread when I get around to it.
