Pick the NEW NOVEMBER - CONTEST - theme

Hi,

Since the previous request for themes was only open for 2 hours, I, the person thowing the November contest am thowing out the previous poll.

We'll take suggestions until Friday at noon. Rule - 1 suggestion to be sumitted per person.

On Friday I'll open the poll so you can vote on the suggested thems and will go until Sunday at midnight. That will let us start the photo contest exactly 2 weeks from then on a Monday.

If you want to change your suggestion, no problem, I'll take your last suggestion. I can handle the sort through the messages.

I'll figure out a way for you guys to vote on them regardless how many there are. Yes, there are other ways than the "10 poll."

Now, suggest the November theme.

1. Well, Silhouettes, I guess

emphasizing my original stipulation that the silhouette effect should be natural to the subject matter and not software-enhanced.

EDIT: not purely the result of software enhancement, I should have said.

2. I like silhouettes, too...

As busy as I've been I probably won't be able to get out for any new photos, but I think I probably have some stashed away that would qualify.

3. You can ignore this as coming from a member of the peanut gallery

(I'm staying out of the contests for now). But maybe a more conceptual theme like "warmth" might be interesting. I've got one that works well for "angst" but I don't think I want to see 30 of those at this time.

4. Opposite Month - April

Since we are doing a seasonal autumn contest, why not do something related to April, November's opposite month.

I voted for Silhouettes before but I'm up for anything..... but I'm partial to...

"Motion" or "After Dark" That's two... so I'll go with "Motion"

23. Hey I LOVED the MOUNTAINS idea, got plenty of ammo

living at the base of the Alps, it's even snowed the past two days. it's REALLY snowing now, prettty!!!

However, I can see how some folks would be less than thrilled at the mountain idea, esp. if the lived at the beach or near cornfields. :o

So I didn't read your OP. So I went on auto-pilot and responded as I had in past, similar threads. My psyche tells me the title line is the most important piece of info in any post, the hook, so to speak.

So I'm hooked on red. Please change my theme suggestion to red. Non depth of field. RED.
