I have an interview Saturday for an ongoing photography gig!
I answered an ad on craigslist for a non-profit that is looking for photographers to cover their events. It's a paid position (per event), and it's for a HUGE conglomeration of non-profits, so they have many events to cover. I sent them links to my Avon Walk for the Cure, Denver Gay Pride, Tyler Hamilton MS Bike Race, and Boulder County Wildfire Training Exercise photos that I've taken this year at local events. They immediately emailed me back and told me they were very interested in talking to me! It will only be a part-time thing for me, but it will definitely help me increase my portfolio and networking here in Denver, and it's a paid position! Did I mention that it's a PAID position? I'm so excited!

6. Yes, it's a paying gig...
$60 per event. Events last about 3 hours, so it's not bad for a nonprofit.
