And look on the bright side: at least this workload didn't come down the pike right during prime shooting season up there.

I work part time since my employer sold the accounts, equipment (and me, since the skills needed to make the machines run are not all that common) to another company. Usually the hours are great but the pay sucks. A good place, progressives in every respect, and the same union, so I am content. But, as is common in this sector (offset printing), work seems to come in bursts. I've been working several days of OT with more still ahead, while last month I worked only a few hours for a few days. There's a trade off, eating is good, but it sure cuts down on play time.
