My default, back lit image

I'm going out soon to see if I can find/create something worth entering.

1. love this photo, alfredo
Edgy but accessible, the kind of image that's rewarding to ponder.

3. thanks. I am torn between hyper reality and
minimalism. Seeing as a 6 year old is the hyper reality. Minimalism is the adult.

5. This photo captures both.
As a middle-aged child, I speak with authority.

6. Ha! Now that I am retired I have time to be a kid again.
That image is 25 years old. I didn't scan it until this summer.

The woman in the image was my new bride. I just went upstairs and she was asleep, a David Sedaris book in her hands. She was holding it open though she was asleep.

7. That info fills out an emotional depth that the photo already suggests
And if I had to define "Art", that would be a damn good starting point.

Good for you being a kid again. We should all do that. Just watch for those scraped knees.:yoiks:

8. I'm still amazed that I found someone and that
being married for 25 years has been so easy.

She hates to be photographed so I have very few images of her. That image is special because photos of her are very rare.

I know how you feel about grabbing silhouettes. I'm going out on Saturday to take silhouette photos even though I'm not allowed to enter the contest as I'm throwing it. At least you have one in your reportory. I have none. :)

4. Campaigning cut into my photography
For the next few months I can get back to what is important. It's the time of the year for shadows.

I have an image in my head, I will have to find a location.
