The longest side should be no longer than 800 pixels. Make sure the pic is between 72 and 96 dpi as well. That might be what photobucket is having a problem with. Check your photobucket settings to make sure they accomodate 800 x 600 pixel images. They've just tinkered around with the settings for that.

I'll bet the most frequent complaint they get has to do with resizing. As I recall, their FAQ makes it sound totally straightforward, but from the number of people who seem to have problems with the issue, straightforward it often ain't.
