Over the river and through the woods
Over the river

and through the woods

We had a huge Thanksgiving dinner at my daughter's husband's sister's house in Wasilla. This is the view from her backyard right at sunset.

4. Happy to oblige. :-)
This is just a fraction of the food. Three turkeys (regular, Mediterranean and Cajun) and way more food than I could even sample. Yum.

2. How bout' a Dale? Did you get any Dale pics?
We left in such a hurry yesterday that I forgot to bring camera crap. Had it sitting on the counter but spaced it.

Over the River is very nice... would be a fun photo to play with in a B&W. Seems just like it was yesterday when you posted your last t-day pics. Where does the time go?

7. It's like a matte background from a movie
amazing shot. You made the haze work to your advantage in this scene. Is this in Scotland?

8. heres a map
This link is to a map where that photo is taken,
from the north side of 'loch naver' on B873 to the south towards ben klibreck taken from the north of the tail of the tadpole loch.
http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=260000&Y=940000&width=700&height=400&gride=&gridn=&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&keepicon=&zm=0&scale=100000&down.x=357&down.y=425

There was a light rain, i was more concerned about getting water on the lens
than the content of the photo at the time. I already had wiped the lens with
my T-shirt once that morning, like all photography suggests. ;-)

I am so blown away how digital photography compensates for extreme light
conditions. In film, shooting the sun directly usually produced nothing
interesting except a waste of photo paper without a filter, and now the
sun just whites out part of the frame and the CCD still gets colours and
all from the rest of the frame.

9. Lens-cleaning T-shirts; could have been big this Christmas...
Beautiful scenery. You've presented it very well.
