Not cats
Alas, we have no kitties at this time. Our current dogs aren't particularly cat compatible so when our last cat left us after a long happy life, we decided not to introduce new ones.

These two are Shasta (the sammy) and Jimmy (the sibe)

Jimmy is very cat-like though - he likes to perch himself up on the back of the couch.

5. Ah a dog in its natural environment!
Actually I believe the Samoyed people did allow these dogs inside to provide warmth.

3. Gorgeous dogs
I had a Samoyed for a brief time when I was much younger. I have to admit it was too much for me to handle. After he destroyed half my back yard, I gave him away to my football coach from high school. That was more his kind of dog. His family loved that dog. Almost every time I saw him after that, he thanked me for giving the dog to them.

Great photos, btw.

6. Thanks
Shasta can be a handful, but hasn't been too destructive. Maybe it's because she's a female.

Our main issue has been that she just loves the sound of her own very loud voice.
