After getting inspired by "Nick Danger", I started looking through my photos from this year. But limiting it to photos I hadn't already posted, whew, that was going to be tough. But I've been messing around with b&w processing a lot lately, so I thought that would make a good theme for my retrospective.
January - Some unfinished highway construction. The three upright supports reminded me of paintings of Golgotha, where Jesus was crucified (although that was not at all in my mind when I took the photo).
February - A church in downtown Austin. Actually in the middle of a lot of buildings, but this angle makes it look as if it were remote.
March - A little statue I picked up in Tulum, Mexico. Just a trinket, but I like the way it looks.
April - My cat Mojito looking out the window at my apartment.
May - An old windmill, somewhere deep in the heart of Texas.
June - Statue at the Blanton museum in Austin.
July - Buffalo at Yellowstone National Park.
August - Sorry for another kitty photo, but I like this one.
September - Believe it or not, I took almost no photos during September, certainly not any that were candidates for b&w. I was incredibly busy with work, with moving to a new apartment with Cindy, etc, etc. So this is a photo I like from from July, when my son Garrett was visiting for a month. Here he is foolin' with the guitar, with the famous cap.
October - Took almost no photos in October, too. This is from the 30th, when Cindy and I finally took a break and had a nice picnic at the lake.
November - My daughter-in-law, Christy, at Thanksgiving.
December - A road-side rest area, near Tyler, TX
