3. I like no. 2 a lot.
3 is nice too, the only thing is 3 is what you'd expect to see, nothing odd about the angle or anything. A nice shot, but nothing out of the ordinary. The second one is from an odd angle that makes better use of the shadows and light. It's just composed better in my opinion :).

I likes it :)

6. See? I told you so...!
When we were looking at our pictures, I told superconnected that #2 was my favorite, and the one she absolutely needed to post.

(And, IMHO, #3 isn't "nothing out of the ordinary" that is merely "what you'd expect to see." This...

...is merely "what you'd expect to see," courtesy of yours truly. superconnected's shot captures a lot more architectural texture.)

12. I think no. 3 above would be much better at night actually
Same shot at night with outdoor lights shining in and such. It would make it more interesting. You're right, it does capture more architecture than yours. Perhaps if I saw it at higher resolution where I could make out the details in the windows better :)

of space ship. Actually I really like that pic.

The archs are cool. I didn't catch till now how they are designed to lead to the clock. Crumb, missed that while I was there.

The industrial stuff looks abstract to me.

The other pic of the train tracks is nice too. Of course I know that is a photo of whats outside the window behind the clock, so I look at it with this continuted perspective thing where as others probably wont see it as somehow part of the building.

...if you look back at your picture #3, you'll find you didn't miss it. The arches framing the clock are clearly shown there.

5. I don't like
architectural photography generally, but you have some nice work there.

Maybe in #3 put the "steel" more in the center. Sort of a semantic echo. In the last one maybe try some closer in on the reflecting surfaces.

8. I don't understand what, "put the steel in the center", means.
Edited on Fri May-20-05 10:57 PM by superconnected
...ah I get it, the word "steel". Okay, I was wondering if you meant the beam going across the pic.

11. Yes.
The whole image is very "hard" and metallic and symmetric. That word fits. If possible, back up a bit, user a longer telephoto setting, and frame the word in the center. I may the only person who even notices it, but it seems that that is the kind of small detail that rewards the careful viewer.
