Little birds and other things enjoying the bird feeder
I apologize for the quality of these -- handheld through a dirty window. I still thought they were kind of cute.

Redpolls I believe swarming the feeder

chased off by the friendly neighborhood squirrel

"Oh, I am so-o-o-o-o full." The look on his face cracks me up.

2. Yep, those are redpolls
I'd love to photograph some one day. My goal, it is achievable, is to try to find and photograph at least 90% of the documented bird species in the US!

3. They're all over the place here this time of year.
Others you'd probably enjoy seeing here in the winter are the huge flocks of Bohemian waxwings who love the berries on the mountain ash. And, of course, the ravens and magpies hang out. I'm glad not all the birds fly south.
