Buncha photos from Wednesday (dial-up advisory)
All shot with the Tokina 12-24mm, which I'm a big bore about, but still can't recommend enough.

Osgoode Hall, home of the Law Society of Upper Canada. The oldest wing of this building dates to 1829.

Nathan Phillips Square in front of City Hall:

Henry Moore's The Archer in Nathan Phillips Square (the purchase of this sculpture by the city apparently caused a municipal firestorm some years before I moved to Toronto):

Walked by the bus station:

Walter Allward, whose masterpiece is the Vimy Memorial, designed this South African War Memorial to mark another senseless war fought some years before:

A few shots in the subway on the way home:

7. Too kind. I have enough trouble with photography that leaving
color out of the equation is just a means of trying to simplify it for myself.

2. I hate to tell you this, but I think that Tokina has a serious problem...
...it doesn't seem to do a very good job resolving colors.

8. And there I was so happy with this lens
I should have known I was overlooking something.

4. Beautiful...
the perspective on "Osgoode Hall" is very appealing, and the whole shot in "The Archer" is wonderful; I especially like the reflection of the clouds in the glass skyscraper!

:D

10. There was a weird thing going on with the sun reflecting off that
building. Spoiled a few shots, since the Tokina's really prone to flaring, but that one turned out OK.

Thanks!
