The ice sculptors came from all around the world and created some really amazing pieces. The sad thing was that the temps had been above 40 in Fairbanks for a few days and parts of some sculptures melted or collapsed, but still they were incredible.

These are they? Whatever. I'm about halfway through captioning, but my "boss" just called to say that my next job is ready for pickup, so I guess it'll be a while before I can finish up the captions. Do please feel free to go ahead and look at them, though, and I'll try to get the rest of the tags up as soon as possible. It does kind of make it a little more interesting, I think, if you know a little about the people you're looking at. I think the mushers are such an interesting and diverse bunch of folks.

7. It's special Alaska ice harvested from local ponds
