My favorite photograph, not the best one but my favorite
This was taken at Stinson Beach in March, it's my daughter on the right and my niece.

Maybe some of you would like to share your favorites, not necessarily your best.

1. I think I see what you mean...
I'm guessing your photo reminds you of a good time you has, and because your daughter and your niece shared it with you, the photo probably means more to you than if it were a carefully staged photo...

My story's probably a little sadder...I had just gotten over a relationship that I had high hopes for but just didn't work out. I spent most of the summer driving around the northeast taking pictures trying to forget...you know how it is sometimes...

Here's one taken beneath the Old Man in the Mountain Site in NH...

This next picture probably doesn't mean much to anyone but me, but once again I was driving around taking pictures, trying to forget my lost love, and I stopped to eat at a Burger King in Greenfield MA.

I looked out the window and this was what I saw...

I was trying to forget her, but her name just kept coming up...sigh.

Don't worry I'm over it now :hi:

3. Thanks
There's a story behind every picture you bother to take, even if you're and a few others may be the only one's to "get it".

Here's another one that's not much of a photo, but since I took it it means something to me...New Hampshire's famous "Old Man in the Mountain" NH most photographed site...now without a face...

It's just I thought it was amazing that, when I visited last summer, the old man still had quite a paparatzi...

7. Greenfield photo not coming up.
I'm from Western Mass and did my time in Greenfield. Would have liked to see anything form home this New Year's. :(

9. Looks like I lost the Greenfield picture...
It wasn't much, just a shop sign, but in keeping with a theme of this thread, here are a few snap shots from around Western MA...Happy New Year intheflow...

The King Phillip Bridge...

A view from the bridge on a misty day...

A little further west, a view of Vermont from Florida...

North Addams and the infamous hairpin turn...

A little further to the south...Amherst, the grave of Emily Dickenson...

And finally a diner in North Hampton...

Hope that's enough to tide you over, if not look around the Photo Group... i have a few hundred other ones posted around here from MA and New England...:hi:

10. Kathy's Diner!
Holy Cholesteral, Batman! I spent many days in my misguided youth eating at Kathys and dancing at Pearl Street. :)

I haven't scanned in many of my New England pictures, but your post has made me want to dig them out and revisit some of them. Thanks for my New Year's smile.

Have a good New Year yourself!

5. Reposting pic. URL changed.
I never had my photobuckets in an album, so everything I posted has a broken link.:dunce:

6. I joined some friends in a visit to the Debra Bizan Monestary
No women are allowed there. One time a woman reporter dressed up as a man. When she got to the top, she was discovered by the monks. She was thrown off the side of the mountain by the monks. The picture shows the place where they pushed her off the mountain.

Debra Bizan, Nefasit Eritrea.

I like the story, but this one is my favorite because Gigante, the cyclist, was my friend.

Pete is a huge dog: part german shepard, part yellow lab, and part great dane. Lyle is a big cat, but damn, Petey! Grow a spine!
