Denali - two views
This first one is from early in the morning, just a few miles into the park, before the clouds had gathered.

Later in the day, about 45 miles in. Notice the road on the right for scale. This mountain is almost unbelievably massive.

3. Whoa! That's big!

What an amazing drive that must have been. The variations in the colours are beautiful too.

4. So how long did it take you to hike up?
:silly:

That's so beautiful, Blue. It's just pure, simple, wild beauty! You really are blessed to live in so lovely a place.

6. Beautiful.
There seems to be more color in the park this trip than your last one. Maybe all the plant life liked the miserable summer weather you were stuck with this year? I have loved all your Denali pics this year even if not typing much.

Had the surgery on my foot and have to keep it up so it is hard to get to the keyboard but I can sit sideways and enjoy the photos.:)

8. I think you're right.
It didn't seem quite as "spent" as last time when most of the foliage had pretty much dried up. The color up there was astounding. The photos don't even begin to capture the real experience.
