Cruise to Alaska. :-)

If you've ever wanted to do an Alaskan cruise, now is the time. Our local news reported tonight that bookings are down so much as a result of the depressed economy that the cruise lines are offering some pretty amazing deals, as low as $475, I think they said, for a week's cruise up the inside passage. Even with the taxes, which are pretty steep, it comes out to about $125 a day -- a steal in normal times.

I just thought I'd let you guys know so if you've ever wanted to do this, this might be your opportunity. I've never taken a cruise, but I have done the Alaska Marine Highway ferry, and the scenery is simply breathtaking.
