Some winter scenes...
Comments welcome. :hi: I discovered I had a lot more winter scenes than I realized.

These first 3 are around Lake Almanor in NOrthern CA.

This one is from IL.

And NYC's Central Park.

1. Brrr
Okay, they all make me feel cold.

If you are asking for opinions on what to submit, I would say one of the last two. The foggy clouds in Central Park add an interesting dimension. And I love the low sunlight in the Illinois picture. The Illinois picture looks colder (good) but the buildings add a lot to the landscape of the Central Park picture.

I like the others, but the top two look more like you could have pointed your camera in any direction and snapped the picture. I am totally into composition because I am not a technical camera buff. The last two just seem better to me from the point of view of composition.

The third shot is beautiful, but I have a personal strong preference for landscape shots being in landscape mode, if possible. That could be just a "me" thing.

Since this wasn't a poll I wasn't sure if we were supposed to vote for our favorite for the winter competition. But, you asked for comments so you got 'em. I think the last two are definitely contenders.

Others here may have different opinions. I would be surprised if they didn't!!

2. I like the second one
I like the starkness and simplicity of it and the fact that it is almost black and white.

3. My favorites are one and five. I am going strictly on emotion, too tired for
further analysis, I like them all though. Least favorite is number 2.
