1. I like it,
except I think the color is a little flat -- but maybe you intended it that way. I like that you can see the craters of the moon. :)

2. It was 8am and that is how it looked outside
the sun was barely there.

4. It's remarkable that you picked up as much detail
as you did in the near dark conditions. Did you use a tripod?

5. No tripod
I was scrambling for my camera when I saw the scenery. It was a bit after twilight before full sun.

Here is another shot from the same time, different direction. You can see the rising sun hitting buildings.

7. I really like that one...
Too bad the moon's not in it, but that lighting is great.

6. Very calm and peaceful
I like the subdued colours, with the rising sun just touching the clouds, and the way the clouds repeat the shape of the mountains.
It looks very peaceful and soothing.

Glad to see you got your star problem sorted out. Welcome back!

9. Thank you
I am looking forward to taking more pics of my view. Just call it "Room with a View"

yeah, Skinner found my donation and gave me back my star. It feels so good to be able to post here again. But my decision to ask you to enter the pic for me was the right decision. Look how fast the contest filled up. Thanks a lot again!!

10. Way beyond being just a snapshot of morning
this is more like a formal portrait of it.

I like the suggestion that even the colors at that hour are more potential than real.

It's wonderful.

11. A Tripod
Might have helped for getting better exposure/clarity.
