Sand. Lots of sand.
I just went to Sand Dunes National Park, and was fascinated by the the variety of ways it was shaped and molded by forces of nature. Thought I'd post some of my favorite shots for your enjoyment. :hi:

1. I just wrote on your other post, and all I can say is:
Who are you and how to you have so many big ones.
I love them all BUT
number one should be on a large poster it is flawless and makes me do a double take. Number two is a runner up.
Thank you for this.

2. Are you saying the images are too big for your monitor?
I thought I was uploading them for a 15" screen, but maybe not?

And thanks for appreciating #2. Of all of them, that's my favorite of the sand shots. That blue was so striking, as were the distinct s-curved sand ripples! The shot cried out to be taken!

7. NO - I'm saying your quality is big. Not the photos.
:)

3. Okay, now I want to visit
Lovely. What makes the blue? Is it a mineral deposit?

Stark landscapes are my favorites. The sand is truly beautiful.

5. I'm sure it's mineral deposits.
The mountains in that area were mined for gold, silver, quartz, uranium, gypsum, and many others I've never heard of and can't pronounce. The variation in rocks and rock formations is quite striking!

So much to see, with so much sand. Very interesting shot. Well done.

9. ITF, these are a treat.
The second one just confirms (though no confirmation was needed for me) that you have one hell of an eye for composition. I love minimalist photos, and that one is art.
