1. You are right, I can smell it too. I will go out and find a
magnolia blossom to float in a glass bowl. After all, I live in the South, and they are blooming.
But one thing is for sure, I can't produce this sharp an image. How did you do that?

2. Well, Mira, that's one of my weak spots!
I shot it at f11 instead of 3.2 etc. Maybe that helped? Plus Photoshop...unmask sharp helped!

3. Ah so ! a Higher f stop ...I'll try my berries again a little later.
Also, my sharpening slider on Picasa is broken, for some reason it no longer works. I think I need to re-install it.

5. I can smell it too!
Use to have 2 big old magnolia trees in my front yard in Maryland and this photo brings back wonderful memories of family and good times under those lovely trees. Thanks for sharing :)
