1. Trusty Elf you made my entire day and more. I absolutely
positively love you for this post.
I immediately felt like a little girl again. Because the Riesenrad and the horizon with it, the baroque building....all took me instantly to my 4th school year, when I lived in Vienna with my grandparents.
"Wien-Wien nur Du allein...."
is going through my head non-stop now.
(a famous song about loving Vienna as the city of one's dreams)

Does anyone remember the movie "The Third Man" with Orson Welles.
It's story culminated at the Riesenrad, the "Giant Wheel" which is located in a park called the "Prater" in the "Wienerwald", the Viennese forest.

I loved riding it, but we could not really afford it very often. Obviously you went up in it to get this shot, it is phenomenal. I will print it and hang it up.
Beautiful photos, I thank you so very much. I must go back and visit all my cousins who live there.

4. Glad you enjoyed them Mira.
I'm not sure that I've ever seen "The Third Man" in its entirety. In any case I only vaguely remember it. I'll have to watch it now that you mention it. I'm sure I'll get a kick out of the scenes in Vienna.
Thanks for your kind comments.

7. They have to do with food labeling/consumer protection issues
soon to be voted upon.

I thought they were pretty funny. I like to collect images of the sort to use in political photoshop projects. I had in mind something pertaining to Cheney and the chickenhawks.

3. Ferris Wheel! Chickens!
Great job.

There were ferris wheels all over Japan. You just never see them around here, unless they are with a huge complex. I kept thinking what good pictures I could get up there--although, people looked a little caged. I wasn't too tempted to actually ride one.

But oh, that is a really nice picture. (chickens!! too)

6. Yes it is - I love it.
And I saw where you posted: "Sah ein Knab ein Roeslein steh'n, lief er schnell es nah zu seh'n....." It now won't leave my head because I love to sing.
You and TrustyElf are helping me stay connected to my other "home".
