A future thought-something personal, from your home.
No pets, but anything else qualifies. What trips your trigger? Something on your wall, something in your garden, the shadows that entice you?

This is inspired because I have a kitchen window sill where I have stuff. The qualification to be there is to have to be from another country.

But my garden is/was awesome! It's getting late in the Houston year. You must have something that makes you smile.

1. We've tried for years to get a theme going for
Things on Rob's Desk, but it's never made it.

2. That is a great idea. On my kitchen sill, I have eight Oaxacan kitties to greet me.
Here's one. Apparently kitty is collecting a bit of dust, too. Darn that digital camera!

3. Love it
We can always start a thread (guess we have) It doesn't have to be a contest.

(I have some Oaxacan animals too).

4. I have angels in my office.
I'm not particularly religiouus -- I can't remember the last time I went to church -- but I do like angels.

I'm also extremely pleased with my garden this year. We're having a very good gardening year so far, unlike last year. Already we've had many more 70+ degree days than we had all last summer, so the ground is warm and things are growing very well. I put a good layer of my home-grown compost over my vegetable garden, plus the dusting of volcanic ash adds some good nutrients, so everything looks fabulous. HullBoss just finished building me a new compost bin this morning and we're going to put a little greenhouse where the old one was, so maybe this year, but for sure next year, I'll be able to grow some tomatoes and cucumbers. :) That makes me very happy.

5. This is a cairn in my front yard, that got knocked over for the first time on the night
of Nov. 4th, 2008 - along with all my political signs in my yard. Except, they did not get knocked over, they got stolen. Even the one that said,
looking just like a McCain-Palin sign: Geezer -Dingbat.

I keep re-building it about twice a month, whoever did it, comes back and knocks it over again.
I used to somehow balance the round one, now on the ground, on the top.
But I'm getting a bit tired of the time it takes to pull that off.
All told it helps keep my muscles in shape.
All is well.
