1. love the zebra pic
They look like they are marching in sync. Bison always look like that--they like to laze around. It is very hard to get them to pose.

5. My daughter's great buffalo pic
They were outside her window, which also helped.

4. Just outside Roseburg
I went back in the late 70s, just after it opened. It was just pathetically sad. They have done a lot with it in terms of shade and water centers where the animals congregate, sectioning it up into territories, Africa, Asia, Americas. There's even a little village with a petting zoo, fish ponds, little cafe, all of that stuff. We hadn't gone because I remembered it from a long time ago, we shouldn't have waited so long.

A couple of my daughter's pics, she has a better camera and has a better eye for getting the shot than I do too.

7. There used to be one of these in southern Missouri . . .
Around Springfield I think . . . we would try to go there ever time we went to Branson. It was so much fun! It was clean, well maintained from what we could tell and was very family friendly. Then a couple of years ago we heard that the land in the area was sold to developers and the Safari place auctioned off all the animals they had. I guess they got a pretty penny from the developers which would have been more than they were making from the park so they sold out.

9. At first, I thought you were in Africa
Everyone's been posting pictures of their gardens, so I wondered if this was yours. Imagine looking outside to see a giraffe nibbling on the rose bushes?

Thanks for the safari.
