Will probably enter a photo in the next contest because it's a favorite of mine, but other than that, I won't be around much for a while. Sorry to have missed commenting on so many wonderful recent postings here; catching up with them a little has been, predictably, a joy.

Ya'll are the best here in this group, the best. Go with God, and if you don't happen to believe in God, go with your head held high and the wind at your back. And above all, never stop shooting.

Hope to "see" you soon. I'll just leave you with some recent pics of University College at the University of Toronto, as fine and photogenic a building as I've ever seen. The light was nice that day, but it was windy and that played hell with the 80-400mm even with a tripod. Focus, both auto and manual, was a complete crapshoot. But a few keepers, or so I tell myself.

I will miss seeing your wonderful photos and getting to learn and gaze upon your world. If you must go for a bit I guess we will survive but you will be missed. I love seeing the world through your eyes and will miss it. I'm not going to try to pick a favorite of this group, and usually give up trying on your photos anyway because it is just to hard to choose just one. Take care of yourself, hope to see you soon.

I'll be back here as soon as I can, because this has been the best part of DU since the days when I was a lurker, some several decades ago, as I remember, though strangely, DU has only been in operation since 2001.

Take this quote from Pound to heart, as I do:
