Here's a site I just found (thanks to http://www.macoshints.com) that reviews digital cameras and offers tutorials. http://www.imaging-resource.com/Do you have any photography resources, like sites or magazines you like and use?

I am thinking abuot getting a digital camera this year, and was just popping in here to see what info I could find!
I saw a girl taking pics of my friends' band last month with a Canon Power Shot Pro1, and her pictures were fantastic! I looked it up on KEH.com and Ebay and found several used ones in the $4-600 range. But I wanted to do some good research first and compare models, rather than just falling in love with one model I saw!

Canon and Nikon, you can't go very wrong.
I'd love to have the Nikon 8800, but I can't afford it right now.

(I think that's right) film, not digital. at the time, I bought it gently used for $450, and it was retailing for over $900. Digital cameras have come so far for so much LESS $$$ since then (about 3 years), so I finally decided to invest in one.
My favorite subjects are low light subjects, such as outdoor lighted builings and my friends' bands. I liked taking pics of the band onstage with no flash, to capture what the stage lights did. Does anyone have an opinion on a brand/model that is particularly good for this type of shot?
I'll still use my film camera though. I love to try funky things with film, like infrared film. Ya never know what you're gonna get:-)

first edition, still in good shape although I kind of abused the film advance lever and needed a little repair there and then graduated to an A2E and a 28-105 wide angle lens as well as a 300 mm telephoto. I enjoyed that camera very much. It is still in super shape.
My husband has a collection of Nikons and is totally lost with the digital camera advances. He still uses his Nikons and recently sold his Hasselblad for a good price.
Today, I(we) received a Christmas gift from my son
A digital camera--wow--I still cannot believe it. This is something that is way out of my budget, so I would never have bought one for myself.
HP Photosmart 945. I cannot wait to start shooting. I have not even read through the User's Manual yet. I am really excited about it.
