I might have to change my name to Francis
Just had this little critter fly into my house and then hang out on my hand for 15 minutes before flying away. Anyone know what species it is?

1. You are back home St. Francis ? - in Assisi?
That is a beautiful, mellow, happy looking little brown bird. We would have to summon Senor Maestro I bet for a definite ID.
How do you take the photo with the bird in your hand.
Inquiring minds....

2. Back in USA
In Peru the people call it Estados Perdidos!

The bird just sat there and I got the camera. It's got a telephoto with Macro on it so I just extended both the lens and my arm and took the shot with the built in flash.

3. Baby bird says "Our future, mine and yours, is in yoiur hands."
That's what that photo says to me. Very clearly and very convincingly.

A very powerful image, at least for me.

Technically, everything is fine to perfect in terms of composition and focus and such. No demerits for any of that stuff.

7. I'd say House Wren, too.
I think she took her name a bit too literally, however. They will nest in mailboxes and clothes pin bags and tire swings.......Their call is AMAZING loud for such a little bird- every morning at 6:00 am, I might add.........Yaawnnnnnn

Thanks for this one, Frank!
