My husband's mother passed away this morning at 11:17, peacefully with HullBoss and me at her side. She had suffered a heart attack July 10 and had a quadruple bypass done, but after surgery she developed pneumonia, wouldn't eat, and despite all best efforts couldn't pull through. Because she had an advanced directive, we determined to remove the feeding and breathing tubes this morning, and she slipped quietly away in less than two hours.

The face on that lady just tells you everything you want to know about her. Such a sweet, loving, gentle woman.

You were so lucky to have had her, and she was equally fortunate to have had you. That she was able to depart in such simple, dignified, pain-free circumstances was exactly how it should be.
