and I am taking a Canon
PowerShot200SX IS, which I first laid eyes on when I purchased it this afternoon...
My youngest daughter "borrowed" my larger Sony for a trip to Micronesia for 2 weeks earlier this year. During their rainy season. I'm talkin' RAINY season.
I MEAN IT REALLY RAINED HARD THERE. Hard enough that, when they opened the "waterproof" storage containers, my Sony was floating, half-submerged, in water.
FLOATING! IN. THE. WATER!!!After she got home, and all the wailing-and-gnashing-of-teeth had subsided, I put said camera on the shelf until I could get it to a repair shop. My intentions were pure.
Of course, being the Brilliantine that I am, I waited until LAST NIGHT to see if, by some chance, it would still work. Amazingly enough, it refused to even turn on.
So, now I'm off for the major field-trip for the year with a camera I have no experience with (not that experience has ever helped me much).
Let us speak no more of this...
Oh yeah, this is the photo group; here is one of my favorite flowers for you all (posted many times). I don't know if it fits with the theme for this month, or not:
Edited to add: strangely enough, that isn't actually a flower...it appears to be a set of doors with some sky reflected in the glass...and the dairy farmers are rioting in Brussels this week, which is our first stop...
Wish us luck. :D :hi:
