The wonderful thing about a thought-provoking contest theme
Edited on Fri Oct-09-09 12:32 AM by JeffR
is that it gets you out of the house in search of one thing, and if you're attentive enough, you find lots of other things. And what is photography but finding things?

Within:

Coach House:

Old neighbors:

Sunset over Strathmore Blvd.:

1. My dear JeffR...
We do indeed find things in our search for photos...

And these are of course wonderful things that you have found...

Your neighborhood is just full of atmospheric finds!

But the pic that speaks to me most right now is the sunset. I just love its darkness, its contrasts, its denseness.

Just beautiful, and I thank you!

2. Yes, I agree. We go out
and search and discover and rediscover.

I particularly like your old neighbors shot.

3. Definitely
Lots of great ones here. I love the old neighbors one, just for forcing me to look at it much longer than the others.

4. In the three door photos all I want to do is go explore. Each are inviting
and off-putting in seductive ways. The third one intrigues me the most.
Great sleuthing, JeffR.

5. I love these pics
because they all evoke a story and leave questions unanswered in the mind of this viewer, particularly the first 3.

6. These are all really nice, JeffR,
but I love the first one. The color, the light, the leaves in the corner -- perfection. :)
