Nice picture. It looks interesting. Is that a lake? Sorry, I guess I like to deconstruct things sometimes. :)

5. Swiss indeed; Chateau de Chillon, overlooking lake Geneva... |
|
I admit to being partial to this shot; gratifying that you also like it.
I have about a billion photos from the Swiss trip; I will probably be posting them until the group cries out "Enough with the Switzerland stuff!!!"

I really like this picture. I keep looking for more 'clues' in it. Mysterious and grabbing. Great shot!

9. There is something about that picture |

that gives me the chills. It's very spooky and the darkness of the space certainly gives the room a medieval feel to it. I like it because it triggers an emotion.

I didn't have time to see the inside of the chateau when I was there, but had an amazing meal (lake perch & much Valaisanne wine) in Villeneuve on a lakeside deck with a wonderful view of Chillon.
This photo brought Byron's The Prisoner of Chillon to mind:
"A sunbeam which hath lost its way, And through the crevice and the cleft Of the thick wall is fallen and left..."
