1. Lovely photos. I wonder how the homeless people feel about dolls wrapped |
|
up in furs :/ Granted, the amount used wouldn't do much for those pictured in your other photo, but the whole idea is strange.

In the homeless photo the guy sitting down is homeless the other guy was just standing around. The dolls were part of an odd window display I saw in Greenwich Village ages ago. I shot the picture using my first digital camera an old 2mp Fuji. The juxtapostion of poverty and abundance can really get to you sometimes.

3. Yeah, I fiigured, but I was using 'people' in a more general sense. I know what you |
|
mean, I'm from NYC, and the contrasts always used to fascinate me.

4. love these fashion dolls |
|
It reminds me of an exhibit I happened upon in the Metropolitan Museum one time-- French Fashion from the 40s. It may be in one of my top ten best art exhibit experiences because my daughter was ten years old at the time and we were both enthralled.
It is called Théâtre de la Mode and is permanently in a museum in Vancouver, Washington (but I don't think they exhibit it all at once).
I'm not even a fashion freak or anything remotely close, but I really, really loved it.
Just amazed at the idea of putting all those dolls in that fur! So glad you snapped that picture, and posted it.
