2. What beautifully fun and interesting shots. Bet it's one of the few times |

your white dog looks off-white. She is a lab, right? The whitest I've seen. A great looking animal, subject of really special photos, and she is obviously confused by the bounty of the weird cold wet stuff.

4. She's actually an "English" Golden Retriever. We got her from a breeder in San Louis Obispo. |

We were just sitting around one night here in the mountains outside L.A., and I decided to look for a dog. I stumbled upon a website and by the end of the night I had PayPal'd the deposit and the next day we were our way to get her. She is absolutely a joy. Sleeps at the foot of our bed, knows her boundaries, and LOVES the snow, and during the summer, the water.
Her name is Bella

with her tongue sticking out as if to taste whatever that white stuff is is just such a great portrait.
That really is a beautiful dog. We have a grand puppy lab (no grand children, just the grand puppy) but he is nowhere near that pale in color.

5. I actually think I may know who the breeder is. |

Do they also breed for the seeing eye program? Your Belle is gorgeous, just gorgeous. And you got some deep snow, looks like.
Her ear color indicates she will be a bit darker as she ages.
Our Golden is 3 now and has ....finally...settled down to be a solid steady dog, each day is a joy with him. He greeted his first ever snow fall with giddiness this morning.
Here's to many happy years with your darling Belle.

I think dogs just inherently love snow. Out little Shih-tzu goes crazy in it, running around in circles, burying her head in the snow. It's hilarious to watch.
