1. That is not a Guinea Fowl
Looks like some sort of pheasant. (Guinea fowl are black and white.)

2. Ok, I totally guessed.
They were quite entertaining, running around on the floor trying to "sneak" past all the photographers.

9. That's it!
There was a pair of them (male and female). Beautiful birds.

We had some when I was a kid (many years ago).

Cool pets. We only had hamsters.

5. They were farm animals, not pets. Egg layers. I have to laugh; my mother was a city girl.
She was afraid of chickens, duck, geese, and all other farm animals.

When the cows came home early every evening, she made us LOCK the gates to our yard. Not just make sure they were closed, but that the gates were locked. I guess she thought that a hoof-footed animal was adept with digital manipulation.

10. lol

Good job you didn't have those humongous cows that can push over steel fences. That would've really freaked her out.

11. So not the precursor of an alien invasion?
Damn. I'll tell everyone to stand down again.

8. These are fun and I LOVE the second one, the stalking angry
beautifully placed bird.
I'm posting a photo of what I thought were the same plant, I just took a couple of weeks ago in Costa Rica.
But now I see they are only cousins, and the colors are very similar. Your photo is more beautiful.

12. Definitely cousins
I forget the name of the plant now. I love the rich colours in yours, with the varying gradations from green to purple.

The bird was stalking fearlessly within arms reach. Obviously nobody was going to mess with him.
