Anyone here post to PhotoSig?
Just curious. If you've never used it, PhotoSig is a site where you can post your images to be critiqued and rated by other users. Kind of like this board, only with more people :)

I recently started posting there regularly and am constantly amazed at the beauty some people can capture with their cameras.

1. Haven't heard of that one
Will check it out. Thanks!

The problem I have with online critiques is the broad level of criteria that everyone seems to use. I don't mind people telling me my snaps are total shit.... it's just the way people tell you that your photos are complete horseshit. It's very subjective and most people are fixated on the technical... don't know shit about composition or the "feel" of the photo.... nor do they care.

With the digital age I feel like I'm racing against the clock to learn all the digi-tech stuff.... and just when I think I have it figured out.... I'm stupid again.

2. I've found it to be an aid
There are a large number of truly excellent photographers there who give genuinely constructive feedback on your compositions and technical abilities. If an image would have been better with X tweaked or Y edited out, they'll tell you. It's helped me improve my compositions by demonstrating what works, and what doesn't.

There are, of course, plenty of people who's feedback consists of "That sux man" or "OMG THATS THE GREATESTPICTURE EVER CAN I HAVE A PRINT FOR MY LIVING ROOM", but I just ignore them.
