My trip to Gold Hill and Eldora yesterday
It was partly cloudy in Boulder, about 45 degrees. Got up to Gold Hill, and it was about 35 degrees and sunny. Then further up to Eldora, and it was snowing and 30 degrees. We had a great time driving around the mountains and watching the skiers (who I think are insane, to be out when it's snowing and windy).

1. Great shots!
Made me want to be there!
I learned to ski at Eldora in 1997.
I had a weekend layover in Denver, and went to Boulder and asked the locals where to lean to ski, and avoid the commercial "Ski Tourist" traps.
They were unanimous in their Eldora endorsements.
Beautiful drive from Boulder to Eldora, though traffic DID stack up behind me. I am from the South, and had little experience on icy 2-lane mountain roads. I pulled over at every opportunity to let the faster folks hurry up the mountain!
That was a great day.

2. Nice, very nice! Looks a bit nippy in the cold, crisp, clear air.

3. Actually it didn't feel cold until we got up to Eldora.
The wind and snow up there made it cold and wet. In Gold Hill, it felt nice in the sun -- we were only wearing light jackets there. At Eldora, we broke out the winter parkas.
