RE: Your confrontation with Keith Olbermann.
I hope this report is wrong and you have more class than this but, if it's true, I have only one comment: You, sir, are an ass.

Anyone who resorts to belitting an employee in front of other staffers deserves whatever public humiliation they get. There's no excuse for that kind of behavior.

I'm not as articulate as most of the DUer's here but hopefully this email got the point across:
Ever take a trip through a cancer ward? Or even go visit some chronic lungers who may not have cancer but still can’t get through a sentence without losing their breath? Go do it, and then promptly apologize to Keith Olbermann…if his description of his cancer scare keeps just ONE person from continuing down that road and ending up as one of these patients, it was well worth it. And you may want to rethink about not caring if he shows up for work:
From the Internet:
MSNBC OLBERMANN 331,000 MSNBC SCARBOROUGH 326,000 MSNBC HARDBALL 233,000 MSNBC TUCKER 153,000
By the way…the Rita Cosby show looks like it leaves much to be desired…tonight’s show has a “finger in the chili bowel” segment????? Zzzzzzzzzzzz. How about taking a trip down to Crawford, Texas to report on Cindy…you know, the person who keeps getting canceled by MSNBC interviewers? Or talking to the dozen families of the dead Ohio soldiers (or the more recent group of killed Pennsylvania troops?). The Ohio people were more than happy to tell Dallas’ local NBC news that they are now critical of the war—including a WW II vet who questioned Bush’s wars. I’m sure the Dallas affiliate will lend you the footage.
Oh, yeah, I forgot..can’t upset the people/administration that give GE their lucrative DEFENSE CONTRACT money. Much easier to piss off the viewers of MSNBC's highest rated prime time show….
