MUST SEE! A dzika 10 min video capture of Jon Stewart on Pope-
and Schiavo-related hypocrisy. It is a treasure!

Title: "Jon Stewart - neocons use Pope's death for political gain - (VIDEO)"

Right now it has only one vote (mine) - I'd like to see it on the Greatest page so more people can see it.

1. Thanks for bringing the link over, Hope! . . .

. . . I watched that Daily Show in re-run last night at 7. It was a particularly good episode.

Btw (in a related story), did you see Lewis Black provide the entertainment at the TV & Radio Correspondents' dinner which C-SPAN showed Wednesday night?

He spent most of the very funny routine pointing out all the stuff he couldn't talk about there. One funny line (Black is originally from the D.C. area): "This is where I attended my senior prom -- and I didn't get lucky THEN, either!"

2. No, I didn't see that. I don't watch much TV and don't have cable
There are some things worth seeing that I miss this way, but the KOEB has been able to supply some of the best of them. ;)

4. Yeah, fortunately MSNBC puts a lot of clips on the Countdown site . . .
. . . in addition to clips furnished by our own dzika and that turkey at Olbywatch. So that's about half of every night's regular show right there -- and you don't even need a TV to see it!

(Plus if you get nostalgic you can go watch old clips on Quanlin's website!)

8. I had looked at it before my computer upgrade and couldn't see a lot of it
and sort of forgot about it. NOW the site works for me and it's wonderful! Didn't associate the name Quanlin with the site, now I know. Thanks!
:hi:

9. Tasty indeed. It's a feast!
I especially love those old clips. Some of them I dimly remember; others, like Fightin' Whities (http://olbermann.org/ko/video_detail.cfm?id=65 ), I never saw.

The remarkable thing to me is how CONSISTENT he's been. He's the same KO, writing the same and speaking the same, no matter what show he's on or whom he's working for.

The David Bloom tribute, for example, could've been written yesterday or years ago. He had his craft mastered very early on.

12. Yes, and he understands and values the ongoing maturation process
"I just think if you're 44 years old and you're not smarter than you were when you were 35 years old or 25 years old, just stay in your room." - a KO quote from Quanlin's site.

3. It's on the DU homepage now.
I saw it last night: "Oh my God - they're the same!!!"

Between TDS and KOEB, I went to bed with a smile on my face. :)

5. Good - I voted for it! And did you see the 3-part Gull Bay episode
in last night's KOEB thread? Botany did his part to cheer us up with a gift of a busload of marooned Norwegian XC skiers, bleever stepped in much later (after most people had left) with Chapter 2 - in which said skiers are revealed to be freepers, and I felt pressure from a muse too and then wrote Chapter 3 as a resolution. By that time, nobody was left at the thread, and I was afraid no one would notice it. So I transferred the three chapters over here to a thread in the clubhouse. I haven't heard any feedback yet and hope the group approves.

I'd like to see some of the other great Gull Bay and other classic ASTB/KOEB literary productions transferred to that thread too so we can enjoy them without having to poke through old threads. Uff da!

10. LOL.
Yes, I sure did. I read them this afternoon.

I really appreciate how everything took a positive, upbeat direction as we went along. I guess the moral is, "if the world is pooping on you, KOEB will clean you off and give you a drink - and a laugh." :)

...what can be accomplished with support and humor. Both parts are needed. Many of us were down last night and came away from that thread not cured perhaps, since the problems are real, but refreshed.

And didn't our guys come through for us!
