Keith stayed single and available.

Of course, I expect THAT to change any second now. For three days this week while Dan Patrick is on vacation, his co-host on the radio show is Dana Jacobson of ESPN2's "Cold Pizza." Put it this way...she originally guest-hosted a couple of weeks ago and in their first show together, they clicked like THIS. :toast:

After three more shows together this week, I expect they'll be dating, and soon after that, headed down the aisle. I mean, why not? She's single, tall, reasonably attractive, shares his sense of humor and knows sports like the back of her hand. She even lives in New York, just like he does. You couldn't order him a more custom-made bride from a mail-order catalog!

83. Speaking of "beat up," I do have to tell this Keith story...

Really, those of you who do not listen to Dan Patrick's show should try to find a way to do so, or tape or something. You can get more entertaining "Keith stories" from a day's worth of it than in a week's worth of Countdown.

Today, Keith told the story of the part of the movie "A Christmas Story" that he can relate to most: when Ralphie finally gets the bully Scut Farkas down on the playground and whales the tar out of him while swearing a blue streak. Turns out Keith had the same kind of experience, once.

Keith explained that as the youngest in his class by a year or two, he was constantly beaten on by the other kids ("the GIRLS had a list as to whose day it was to beat me up"). But finally he was lucky enough to have one of the bullies who beat him up dead to rights when the kid fell down some stairs and Keith landed on him...and Keith made like little Ralphie on him until a gym teacher and--yes--his MOM came along. At which point the kid escaped, but Keith went after him and bloodied his nose.

No one ever beat up on Keith again.

Sound a little like last night?

Actually, it all reminded me of when Keith did his "City of Louisiana" spiel and I said he reminded me of little Ralphie, bully finally under his control, punching and swearing like crazy...guess I wasn't too far off the mark. :scared:
