"A trip down memory lane."
I just read that line in a post Catchawave made down the page a bit. (The one where we're talking about the gogomag RIGGED voting between KO and AC.) I've been taking a trip down memory lane for three days now.

We got back from our driving trip to see my SO's (Neil) sick son (Kelly) late last Monday night, but a good friend of ours had died while we were gone and we had the funeral and wake to attend to all day Tuesday.

Wednesday, Thursday and today I have been going back through the archives and bookmarking the threads that brought the KOEB to where we are today. It's been really fun! (And has helped me take my mind off all the depressing things.)

I am going to make some new posts, but I need y'all to wait until I get the whole thing done before ya start doing any replying. (Does this make sense? I hope so!)

In other words, there will be an OP, (I'm going to title the first one "KOEB Thread Archives - November 2004"), then each reply underneath will be a specific thread that I want to put there in chronological order, with milestones noted... so please don't reply until I have the whole month's worth up, 'kay?

(Riiiight. We are SO known for restraining ourselves!) LOL!

Y'all can reply to this one, of course. :grouphug: :loveya: :grouphug:

5. Thanks, everyone. It's been fun for me, too.
November is now done. I'm gonna work on December, January and February this weekend. (I already have everything bookmarked and with side notes at the ready.) And now it's time to head over to the Friday Night Party - Wheeeeeee! :bounce:

6. Does anyone know how to access the archives for Election 2004?
I'm pretty sure there's some pre-election Keith stuff in there, but I can't find the right forum to search. I'll check out my posts from General Discussion and GD/Politics in September and October, but for some reason I can't find the archives for 2004 (that's when Skinner renamed the group after the election.) Some of my best stuff is in there!

7. Hi Cheese!
:hi: You know how to get to the archives, right?

(Whether you do or don't, here's the instructions for everyone's use).

Go to the Lobby and click the "Search" icon in the top middle of the page. That will bring up the simple search form. (Just FYI for everybody - You have to be a DU donor to search.)

You have to click "Advanced Search" to get to the archives, then fill out all the stuff on the left hand side of the page.

Perhaps you're not finding the 2004 ER&D because it's listed directly underneath "Political Forums" - (or something like that, can't remember exactly now) - it's somewhere in the middle of the drop down menu for the forum search box. (It *is* kinda hard to find!)

8. No, I can get to that just fine.
The problem is finding the stuff posted BEFORE the election. I believe the forum wa called "Election 2004". When I try to get stuff before Nov 2, it comes us blank.

9. Oh! I misunderstood. There's one for "archived and leftover forums"
I think. Did you try that?

thankee kindly for all you're doing!

And you know when I thank you (and Hope) for all your "hard work" it's in reference to Prez Bush's comment that "being President is hard work" <snark>
