Bush: “We're Going To Have A Tough Summer”...
President George W. Bush has warned rising oil prices will mean a "tough summer" for US consumers as the high cost of gasoline (petrol) showed signs of becoming a big political issue.

But even as more Americans expressed discontent over the price of filling up their gas tanks, Bush suggested there was little his government could do in the short term about the problem.

"We're going to have a tough summer because people are beginning to drive now during tight supply," Bush said as he toured a California facility developing hydrogen-powered vehicles.

If you told your boss you're going to have a problem dealing with a company issue he would undoubtedly would replace you with someone more qualified or fire you for the simple logic that he doesn't want to hear about your problems ~ He expects and wants results! -- November can't come soon enough to render this incompetant fool we call the president the lame-duck he has been from day one of his presidency.

15. Dunno, unless asshole is telling us he's ready to start dropping
bombs on Iran. THEN the supply will be tight. Right now refiners and wholesalers are swimming in crude and gasoline. The pipeline is full. What is driving the cost is the commodity market in crude, nervous over Stupid's drunken belligerence at Iran.

I'd prefer the tough summer belong to that punk in the White House. I have a sneaking suspicion it will, too.

19. dropping bmbs on Iran I believe is a smokescreen for his short-comings
with failing as a president, even FOXnews today was complaining about Bush referring to his defaulted laundry list of what needs to be done about oil problems and relying on saudi arabia, they said he's been saying that since he was elected. (the first time)

9. We? and...people are beginning to drive now during tight supply...
People are beginning... Why beginning? As I understand it, people who need to drive to work have been driving to work all along.

During tight supply... What made the supply tight? How's the oil flowing from Iraq? Same level as before Shock and Awe? No? What a surprise.

We? What does "we" are going to have a tough summer mean? Unaffordable gas for Americans, and low ratings for Bush? Is that the tough summer Bush will be having?

14. Must be the royal "we", GWB & his rich cronies will barely notice the
pinch if at all while most Americans, especially the poor middle class and fixed income folks, will struggle and need to make difficult choices and sacrifices... which sadly will become even more difficult and harsh as food/grocery prices increase and next Winter approaches.

18. "WE'RE" ?? --- I just hate it when anyone from the Bush Family
tries to imply they have a clue about, or share feelings of commonality with middle-class or poor Americans. "We're"???? I guess there won't be any cheap gas to fuel the speedboats running around the ocean at the family compound up in Kennebunkport this summer.

20. I just would want to say, 'Look asshole, wait till November,
think we're the only one's having a bad time? Just you wait Mister, just you wait. While the elected elites fly around in private planes and garner $ from corporations, people are WAY past bitchin'. They are ready for a killer election against Republicans. I know. I work in the public sector and I hear it everyday from every republican I meet.

The mean season is coming.

23. The best idea that I have seen posted on this topic is to buy a gas can,
fill it with a gallon of gas, paint the date "November 7, 2006", and show it to your friends, neighbors, relatives, the local newspaper, etc.
This is to guarantee to the politicians at every level that you have enough gas in storage to drive to the polls, and elect someone who will help the common people combat the practices of the oil industry.
This is not a case of supply and demand, when the industry is united to exploit the present situation.

24. Just keep reminding every one that the Republicans and bu$h
are to blame for this.

We keep tying this to bu$h and the republicans, all summer and right up through November.

They could have done something, they could still do something but they haven't and they will not.
