Ohio Governor: Strickland (D) Enjoys Growing Lead |
|
And this is according to Rasmussen (R), who claims Bush has a 40% approval rating even though everyone else has it in the low 30s. Ted Strickland (D) 52% Ken Blackwell (R) 35% Ted Strickland (D) 51% Jim Petro (R) 31% http://www.rasmussenreports.com/2006/State%20Polls/April%202006/Ohio%20Governor%20April.htm

1. Ohio state government has got to go democratic. |
|
We can't be sure of a clean election until Blackwell is away from the machinery.

Now, do you know anyone who would like to help run parallel elections? This is important to try to maintain the vote integrity.
Please comment here or pm me if interested.

4. How is that even possible? |
|
After all, it's going to be a self-selected process, and I guarantee a lot of Republicans aren't going to go along with it simply because they know it will benefit Democrats. That alone kills the integrity of such an action.
Don't get me wrong - I think it's great that you're stepping up and actually trying to do something instead of sitting around, bitching and moaning like everyone else on DU. I'm honestly trying to ask if such an exercise is truly going to work.

6. actually, it was used during the Hackett/Shmidt race |
|
and they only had enough people to staff one district. For that one district they staffed, Hackett had the highest vote count on the record.
So, perhaps, they know they're more likely to get caught if it's not there. So they're more honest.
Please join the crew. We'd love to get people in every district across the state to keep them honest!

3. OK see these big leads? What are we going to do after the election if ... |
|
they are transposed like the RON initiatives? or bu$h "victory" over Kerry? Rove will come up with a lame excuse, or October surprise to account for the change-just watch! Being ahead in the polls means nothing unless we are willing to back up strange occurences with action. Election fraud is real and those who count the votes in Ohio will be in deep doo doo if the Dems get supoena power to allow real investigations.

5. One of the problems with Kerry is that he wasn't ahead in the PREelection |
|
polls (in general). Right before the election, Fox News was one of the few pollsters who predicted a Kerry win by 2%, most other pollsters predicted a Bush win by a few percents. If pre election polls predicted a Kerry win by 10%, and exit polls predicted a Kerry win by 10%, and Bush won by 2%, I think you would have had riots in the steet.
