Paula Zahn Called The Minuteman's Bluff |
|
I just saw a segment on the rallies on CNN's Paula Zahn Now and she had none other than The Minuteman Project's founder Jim Gilchrist. She put him on the spot and asked him point blank if he had proof that illegal immigrants supressed wages.
His response? "Well, I have a couple of people tell me on my web site that they are underemployed or unemployed because of illegal immigrants..." Or something very close to that quote.
Typical Backwash Bullshit.

1. "Backwash" is totally part of the lexicon now. |
|
I used it at least ten times today.

2. You Know What They Say... |
|
Say it five times or more and it becomes fact. Works for Fox News. Works for me, too.

6. I saw another "expert" on CNN this morning with some dubious |
|
facts.
A rightist talking head was blatantly trying to incite African Americans against the immigrants and protesters. He was quoting some odd stats, and when questioned he just said, "Well, I found that on one web site." WTF?!! When did this become acceptable?
And why couldn't the righties get their facts together?

They obfuscate the truth.
Wait a minute, they can't do that. They probably don't know what that word means.

9. COMPANIES suppress wages NOT workers. Sheesh. |
|
The people who PAY the wages are the ones that suppress them.
Zahn = typical republican blame-the-worker screed.
