If Bush wants to bring down oil prices, he can.
All he has to do is stop threatening war, and bring home the troops from Iraq.

2. Of course he can, and he will
well before November. Or rather the oil companies will. This is just his oily friends making a few quick bucks before the election gets too close, and they have to give people a chance to start feeling prosperous again.

3. He's gonna have a lot of juggling to do.
Invading oil-producing nations seems only to drive gas prices up. And Iran is all but a done deal.

6. That's the point.
We didn't go into Iraq to take their oil and sell it to the SUV driving American public cheap. We went in there to get control of their oil so that they COULDN'T sell it anywhere cheap, thereby increase the profits of Ws Texas oil buddies. And it's working like a charm.

4. You give Shrub a lot more credit for ability than he deserves!
The oil co's are only interested in their own greed! I doubt Shrub matters to them at all! Even if a Dem house & Senate get elected, they have the controling hand! If a new congress assesses new taxes on them, they'll just push prices higher and say it's the Congress' fault and now they've created a shortage!

7. Oh I don't think W has any say in the matter at all.
The oil companies know they are better off with Repubs controlling all three branches, however, so they'll back off close to election time in order to insure that that situation remains in place .

to do with the money being put into his and his extremely rich friends pockets.

The shameless, greedy, selfish, non-caring ruling class...been the same all through history, doesn't mean we won't stomp them out.

We have to in November!
