The economy is in great shape & there is a "tinge" of inflation. |
|
That's the word on CNBC. Things are great. The economy is going just a bit too fast. Unemployment is going lower. Life couldn't be better. What is going on? Is * fudging the numbers that badly?

The Fed is pumping money into the economy. They recently abolished the long time practice of disclosing the money supply. Now we know why.

3. They're trying to jawbone us out of a depression |
|
and it's not going to work. Only fundamental changes from the bottom up are going to work, and the pubbies and conservative Democrats are so wedded to fattening the rich and killing the rest of us that they will never allow those changes to take place.
We have got to get them out of office. It's our only chance.

5. Sure, the numbers look great... |

...if you don't look at compensation, which isn't keeping up with inflation. Whoops!

7. If they included gas, housing, and medical costs in inflation... |
|
it would be through the roof!
All they seem to include in inflation measures are the costs of tee-shirts, cars, and toasters: manufactured goods that are all being outsourced to low-wage countries.

10. same message this morning on Washington Journal |
|
"but, the good news" spreader this morning was Rep. Joe Barton who said with every breath "but, the good news" is and he would tell us.
he also said, and I wanted to claw his face, that us americans could manage our gas use better and perhaps the price would go down if we used less gas........
(sounds like that woman known thing: if she was a better wife he wouldn't fuck other women and/or beat her)
and he too spouted supply and demand, supply and demand.
and somehow he knows how much oil is at anwar and by golly that would keep us driving for some time.
one caller asked if he had oil/gas stocks :)
