I propose a new word, , usage can vary
Colbert: a person exhibiting great courage.
To Colbert: To inform and enlighten, to exhibit truthiness.
Colberting: Causing grimaces and cringes through the clever use of words that uncover UNtruthiness

1. v: to show the absolute absurdity of your opponents position by agreeing
VEHEMENTLY with them, esp. when done right to their faces.

example: (to Bill Kristol, notable PNCAer) Soooooo, who (i.e. which dictator) are we invading next????

4. "To grin and Colbert it."
To be forced to sit and listen as you get verbally lambasted.

9. Not exhibit truthiness, but to expose it.
Truthiness is something apart from Truth. Very much apart.

10. Ray McGovern certainly Colberted in Rummy's face
this afternoon. Ed Schultz played a tape of it. It was marvelous. Rummy just uh-uhed and tried to blame Colin Powell.

Now THAT's Colberting!

12. I'm not sure you've nailed truthiness.
The problem with truthiness is that it says the facts are wrong, but believed right because the speaker wants them to be right. Otherwise it would just be 'truthful' or 'insightful', not 'false but perceived true.'

James Frey is truthy. To say somebody is truthy is to call them deluded and deceived.
