Must be nice to have enough money and income that it's not a concern. ::sigh::

Yes, rising gas prices hurt us, it's also still heating season up here but we are out of fuel oil and using a small electric heater to take the chill off in our bedrooms at night instead of getting more since a) we don't have enough $$ for another partial delivery and b) we're hoping to either be using econo-heat heaters by next heating season or the price of oil will drop a bit around Election Day. With insulation and econo-heaters I'm really hoping next winter will be warmer inside for us... this past one was truly awful and there are so many worse off then we were.:(

Two of the things that bother me the most about the high gas prices is... I have an elderly father (84 y/o) and step mother (77 but is showing some early Alz symptoms:( ) a few hours away that we can't go visit as often as we'd like and we have a new granddaughter (our 1st) and we can't see her very often even though she and my daughter are only a bit over an hour away... neither of us can afford the extra money for gas. :(

3. It's 40 miles round trip to my YMCA & I need to be there 3x wk. minimum
to work out in the pool and on certain Nautilus machines. If not, my knees are in such bad shape it is painful to walk. I used to go 5/6 times a week when I didn't have to worry about gas prices. Even reducing my visits to 3 x a week, it costs me $32 a month to belong to the Y, and $51 a month to drive there.

4. There's a new poll there now
Should a military general be appointed to head the CIA?
