if bushco* thinks it's bad now wait until his base realizes they have
been played for the fools they were. All hell will break loose then because a lie cannot be sustained forever.

1. yeah well, they'll have to pause the KoolAid for a bit first...
...and wait for the residual effect to wear off.

5. There will be a moment...
...when all the but the most ardent freepers will see Bush for what he is. It'll be far too late by then, but it'll happen.

2. I think a lot of them realize this already, and are pissed.
If * had ended it at just one term, he could have kept up his reputation. He simply didn't have enough spin to last two terms. And circumstances certainly helped expose him--like Katrina. But most of it was chimpy's own fault.

3. His base?
That moment will never come. Bush will have failed because he was thwarted. By the rest of us dissolute unamerican wankers. The firehose of blame is always pointed outward with that crowd.

4. His base is too stupid to ever realize they've been played
...for the fools they are. They hate liberals, that's all they care to know.

18. Sometimes I think yes
Other times I look at all that went before -- the assassinations of JFK and RFK for example, or Waco -- where the investigations were utter whitewashes, and I think whether 9/11 ever gets investigated properly depends largely on those in charge and their integrity.

And then, feeling despondent, I come out here, and indulge in a little truth-seeking of my own.

11. I am in agreement with this
Some peoples opinions cannot be swayed even after they are given truckloads of evidence that they were lied to. They bought it hook line and sinker and they will go down in flames before they admit Bush&co sold our country and our childrens future down the river.

And thats a crying shame my friends.

Maybe some more of the base will turn on him, and I really hope his approval goes down further, but some hard-liners will never turn on him.

6. Remember the woman who asked him if he believed...
in the Rapture. He hemmed and hawed, but never gave her an answer. (Brilliant reply from Jon Stewart: "Just say no!")

Could be that's when his base started realizing they'd been had.

They used them completely.

Here it is 2006, and the Rapture still isn't here.

one way tickets and not to UAE either. I think it will be a tad bit colder where bushco* is headed.

8. The Bushbots sold out this country, hook, line, and sinker
Their being pissed at W is fine, but they need to know many of us see them as traitors for voting for a man who says his greatest moment as president is catching a fish in his own stocked pond at his ranch.

They know who they are.

10. what you wanna bet the gov picked up the tab for that stocking too
I bet they picked up most of the tab for the cost of the pond also. When I first got home 40 years ago from the service I was a dozer operator and built many farm ponds, twenty acres and agree to not plow within, so many feet, don't remember exactly, for a few years, again don't remember exactly the government picked up 80% of the cost. they also stocked the ponds with fish at no cost.

19. All they want is war on their goddam teevees.
They see Bush as the Great Crusader leading us against the evil Mohammmedans.

They lack the character to admit they were were wrong.

I would estimate about 25% will remian loyal brownshirts to the bitter end.

Even if we have a massive economic collapse due to Bush insanity, they will still blame it on "libruls."
