No Such Thing As UFOs ... Wanna Bet?
KO tells us tonight that the British Government has done a study which concludes there is no such thing as a UFO. Now tell me, would you trust a Government that couldn't even find WMD's in Iraq when it says there are no UFO's? Ludicrous.

1. UFO = unidentified flying object.
Nothing in those three words implies that it is piloted by a little green martian from the planet Mars.

2. Of Course There Are UFO's
unidentified flying objects exist

now whether they are flying saucers or not? I've not seen proof of such, but they might be.

also they are a lot of other things.

16. Thanks for mentioning that IMPORTANT point.
Kinda a pet peeve of mine, the way folks
have been brainwashed into thinking that
"UFO" means "Alien Spacecraft full of little grey aliens"

UFO means UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT.

And I have certainly seen any number of them.

They were OBJECTS.
They were FLYING.
And I couldn't IDENTIFY them.

Therefore: they were UFOs by definition.

3. who needs the british government...?
when common sense and physics do a fine job of discounting the existence of UFO's...as far as them being aliens from another planet, that is. technically, anything that flies and hasn't been identified is a ufo.

4. Interesting..... we take space time as a finite unalterable fact of
life. How presumptuous of us all.

6. i see no reason to think otherwise...
the whole of human history, and all.

but then- a lot of deluded fools believe in all sorts of imaginary things- from ghosts to supreme beings...it just goes to figure that some would also favour a belief in little green men piloting their warp drive ships thru inter-galactic wormholes and temporal distortions to vist and probe a lucky few of us every so often.

me- i'll believe in anything that's real.

12. Very well then.....
http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/horizon/2001/parallelunitrans.shtml

NARRATOR (DILLY BARLOW): Imagine you could find an explanation for everything in the Universe, from the smallest events possible to the biggest. This is the dream which has captivated the most brilliant scientists since Einstein. Now they think they may have found it. The theory is breathtaking and it has an extraordinary conclusion: that the Universe we live in is not the only one.

MICHIO KAKU (City University of New York): That there could be an infinite number of universes each with a different law of physics. Our Universe could be just one bubble floating in an ocean of other bubbles.

NARRATOR: Everything you are about to hear is true, at least in this Universe it is. For almost a hundred years science has been haunted by a dark secret: that there might be mysterious hidden worlds beyond our human senses. Mystics had long claimed there were such places. They were, they said, full of ghosts and spirits. The last thing science wanted was to be associated with such superstition, but ever since the 1920s physicists have been trying to make sense of an uncomfortable discovery. When they tried to pinpoint the exact location of atomic particles like electrons they found it was utterly impossible. They had no single location.

13. James Randi does.
A Million bucks for anyone with PROOF of the paranormal...

The only thing Saddam's WMD's have in common with UFO's are that they're both figments of the imagination.

17. UFOs?
We know for a fact that there were no dinosaurs because the earth is only 5 thousand years old and we know for a fact that out of the billions of planets ours is the only one with life. Our Bible and our government tells us so "OBEY" do not think on your own.
