OMG - the NEW POTUS Ipod!

A few months ago, I joined GOP.com-
ya know - ".....keep your enemies closer".

Now they invited my to have a house party -
MAY 22nd is their house party date, and if I have a house party, they
will send me a Potus ipod.

What are they doing??? Do they have the propaganda programmed into an ipod?

Snip from my email
Dear Jennifer,(not my real name -lol)

Recently, Chairman Ken Mehlman invited you to make history. On May 22, thousands of you will gather at GOP House Parties across America - and for the first time, you'll be able to see the difference your party made and where it ranks with others, live on GOP.com. The five most successful house parties with 10 or more donors will even earn a special thank you: a first-of-its-kind GOP-edition iPod with Video.*

* The Republican National Committee is not affiliated with Apple Computer, maker of the iPod Video.
yeah right!

Maybe I should have a house party, and invite dems - just to see what the heck is on that ipod

Scary stuff!

1. In defense of Apple...
Actually, the GOP is most definitely not associated with it. According to buyblue, 99 percent of Apple's political donations went to Democrats

they would sell the RNC self-destructing iPods for this.

7. five most successful house parties with 10 or more donors- what's success?
I suspect only the children of wealthy parents have a chance of having a "successful party"!

10. This is politics. Success means the most cash...
So, this means the five house parties that riase the most cash and have that have 10 or more donors get an iPod. Sweet deal, eh?

12. Does it have any special features?
Like automatic deletions of any songs by artists who are turning against Bushco?

That wouldn't leave many artists, though.

that's what I call teamwork.

Now lets wait and see if Mehlman has to use with something new
to bribe the sheep.

16. I'm glad you did that...
at the same time, I imagine Apple's reaction will be "hey, as long as they bought and paid for those iPods, what's the problem?"

18. As long as they posted the "exception line" (RNC is not affiliated with
Apple, etc.), Apple can do nothing legally.

14. I won't own an iPod. I have a PVR which does everything
an iPod does and more. It's like this one...

http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Mustek%20PVR-A1%20Digital%20Media%20Player:1991567881;_ylc=X3oDMTB0bjZzaWNuBF9TAzk2NjMyOTA3BHNlYwNmZWVkBHNsawNlbGVj

I can even record stuff off the teevee or a video or DVD player and store it as mp4 files. Have a 1GB card in it and it stores a gob.

17. A couple of reviewers on your link.
don't quite share your enthusiasm. One says the unit is proprietary, and conversion times are long, even for MP3s. Looks cute though.

Regarding the mPOD (moranPOD), it's probably a bad paint job from some guy who likes to build plastic battleship models in his basement.

20. Never had a problem with this.
It's like a mini VCR and an iPOD combined. Sound quality is fine (you use earbuds with it). I'm not sure what is meant by proprietary any longer.
