2. Yes and the Senate is discussing cutting medical benefits on CSpan2.
Who is standing for the middle class and the poor and the elderly and the homeless and the disabled and the veterans and the troops who beg for food in Iraq? Who?

I am very disturbed about what I have heard today on both CSpan and CSpan2.

Senator Kerry gave a wonderful speech during the 4 o'clock hour. How many were listening?

It is so sad, so disgusting that I cannot even type in some of the BS I have heard today.

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

5. How can the Republicans argue that we can afford tax breaks but
cannot afford to give medical benefits such as mammograms and cancer testing

and do it in the same breath with a straight face?

:banghead:

Bill Thomas sucks!

6. The Dems are handing the November election to the GOP
and screwing us in the process.

The GOP writes this bill behind closed doors telling the Dems they cannot participate, and still enough Dems will vote yes for its passage.

We neeeeeeed a third party!

11. I know, but the newspapers are reporting the GOP says the bill will pass
The GOP doesn't give that story to the press unless they have the votes.

16. The Democrats should vote NO! Let the GOP carry it themselves.
The Dems should send a strong message that we are not going to vote for anything that hurts the ordinary American.

9. I've been watching on & off all day
A lot of revisionist history by the rethugs. Earlier they went all the way back to Reagan--still trying to sell the lie that he was good for the country. Dem's have been debating well.

I think that the R's are seriously misreading the mood of the country. When someone who makes $45,000/year gets less than $100 of a tax break, there will be even more voter anger directed towards the republicans.

13. The problem is that not enough of the country is watching.
They won't know what happened until months or years later when it hits them and they ask, "When did this happen, who did this?"

The answer always comes back, "Your congress did it!"
